About the IASE Mentoring Program

The IASE STEM Mentoring Program was created in 2018 to foster development and support in the space sector through mentoring. IASE created the mentorship program to connect university students to experts in the space sector, through our vast network.

The mentoring program aims at connecting mentees and mentors in order to provide guidance, give personalized advice, and support to help students navigate their way through their career in space.

Our program offers a structured framework over a specific timeframe, with resources and accountability to ensure a successful mentor-mentee relationship for gravity-related professionals!

HOW IT WORKS

Mentees are made up of university students in their third year looking for guidance and advice on entering the space sector in North America. Intake applications take place twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall. Applications are invited from all STEM related graduate programs.

Mentors are recruited on an on-going basis and come from a variety of STEM related backgrounds within the space sector. Mentors can provide guidance on a variety of aspects of career exploration and background information to help our next generation of Captain James T. Kirks, Dr. Spocks and Captain Picards!

Once matched, participants will be notified with information on how to get started and connect with their match.

THE BENEFITS

Mentees gain value through feedback and support on professional goals, career planning, lifestyle considerations and other business focused decisions.

Mentors can help shape tomorrow’s space sector leaders, gain a new perspective, and develop their own leadership and communication skills.
